Wiping your data

The companies listed on this page will wipe your data from the device for you, but it is best to do this yourself before parting with your IT equipment.

Jamie’s computers

Jamie’s computers is based in Southampton and was set up by The Society of St. James in 2002, Jamie’s professionally and ethically recycle a wide range of IT and computer equipment. The Society of St. James helps vulnerable people in Hampshire experiencing homelessness, problems with alcohol and substance use and other complex needs to change their lives.

70% of donated equipment is reused, recycled and upcycled to Microsoft standards. The rest is broken down into components and recycled, meaning that 0% of material goes to landfill.

CPR Computer and IT equipment recycling offer FREE collections throughout the UK with free next day collections in Hampshire.

Next Day collections in the Hampshire area is free for all computer equipment including telephones, printers, monitors and the computers themselves. They will also take old cables and power adapters too. Following initial testing all equipment collected is graded, cleaned and fully refurbished prior to being sold back for home or business use.
